An
enjoyable but
extremely
cold
day was had by all at the Senior School Intermediate Arena
Polo
Tournament held at Inglesham Polo Club on Sunday 27th February 2005.
Teams travelled from all corners of the country, including
Scotland.
All the matches were well contested and played in a
good spirit. The
day ran well due to everyone involved players, parents, school staff,
pony hirers, grooms, umpires, Inglesham staff, the ring master,
timekeepers, bar staff etc. but most of all
the ponies. The
National
Senior Schools Intermediate Champions were
Eton who beat
Cheltenham
College on penalties after a fast and closely fought final chukka. The
Most Promising Player of the Tournament was awarded to
Fifi Watson and
the Most Valuable Player to his Team and the overall competition
awarded to
Giles
Tupper, both from Millfield School.

We are looking forward to the National Schools Tournament and the
Novice Tournament on Sunday 6th March 2005 at Inglesham Polo
Club. Also to the National Junior Schools Tournament on Sunday 13th
March at Longdole Polo Club.
