Longdole Polo Club 4^th June 2006.

Unlike the Arena tournament the day was sunny with a cooling breeze. Our thanks go to Major and Mrs. Hanbury, and Rob and Sue Cudmore for allowing us to play on their superb ground. Dan Banks umpired twenty four chukkas and was still smiling at the end. We were sponsored yet again by SATS; many thanks for some lovely prizes. Charles Fear was the photographer.

The play, as always, settled down after the first chukkas and some exciting matches followed. The ponies were a credit to their owners and the play was of a high standard. In section I the holders of the cup were determined to retain it as it is their last year as a team. Winchester House Red and Cheltenham College Junior A produced a thrilling final with Winchester House Red triumphing.

Section II was a battle between Ashdown House and Winchester House Blue, with Ashdown running out the winners.
