CHANGES: There are some
changes to last year's tournaments, so please note especially the
following:
- NO SPURS ARE ALLOWED IN ANY SUPA TOURNAMENT
- The Beginners' Tournament is 3-a-side (was previously
2-a-side)
- The closing date for ALL tournaments is 11th February, 2007
DISCLAIMERS & NOTICES:
- POLO IS A DANGEROUS SPORT
- All players MUST be members
of
the the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) which provides LIMITED Third Party
insurance cover and NO
Personal Injury cover.
- SUPA organises tournaments on
behalf of Schools who make
team entries. Schools must ensure that appropriate Team Managers are appointed who will
be responsible for individual players at all times.
- SUPA organises tournaments under the Rules of the HPA (except where they
are explicitly modified for SUPA Tournaments) which may be found in HPA
publications The Blue Book
and The Green Book and on the
HPA website www.hpa-polo.co.uk.
Team Managers and Players MUST
familiarise themselves with the rules ESPECIALLY
those concerned with Equipment for Players & Ponies, Pony Welfare,
Doping Regulations etc. For example, some perfectly legal prescription
drugs are BANNED under these
regulations and Players may be drug tested by the HPA.
The Rules, Entry Forms,
Grant Forms and HPA Forms are all in one .pdf file which you can
download. You cannot enter tournaments or join the HPA electronically
because you have to send cheques with the forms.
