2007 NATIONAL UNIVERSITIES ARENA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Conditions

The Championships will be for Open, Combined, Intermediate, Novice and Beginner Sections.

The Championships will be 4 chukkas over 2 days. These chukkas will not be consecutive.

PLEASE NOTE: The use of spurs is not allowed by anyone in all SUPA matches or tournaments. It is recommended that goggles are worn as well as safe and kite marked headgear. Personal Accident Insurance is also recommended.

Sections:	Beginner.	A player who has taken up the game no earlier than October 2006. 3 a-side.
	Novice.	For players who play at University only or those who play occasionally. Discretion can be applied after contact with Chairman.
	Intermediate.	Teams with a handicap between 0 – 3. This section is for 1 or more players who play regularly. Beginner and Novice players could play in this division.
	Combined Universities.	A new tournament for players from Universities where they are the only player, or of a high enough standard that other players from lower sections would mean a possible lowering of safety. It is envisaged that this section will be 2 goals and above. All qualifying players should make themselves know to Mike Hobday, who will form balanced and competitive teams
	Open.	Teams with a handicap of 4 and above. Discretion will be applied by organisers if below.
Handicap:		The tournament will be played without handicap. Although these will be used to seed teams in each division.
Teams:		All teams are 3 players. Teams may be made up of more than 3 players. Depending on Entries there may be 2 Divisions in any section. Any replacement players must play off the higher handicap of their partner. All players to be specified on the entry forms and all to be covered by H.P.A membership insurance.
