National Schools 4 Chukka Combined League 2012
Further to the ongoing partnership of SUPA and the HPA, to bring a National 4 Chukka League for Schools to fruition, both realise that there are many students who attend "non" Polo playing institutions or at one where a 4 Chukka team is not entered. (Those players can still play for their Schools on 24th June at Dallas Burston Polo Grounds).
Realising this, a Combined 4 Chukka Schools Championship has being formed and in 2012 will feature 4 teams. There are many players throughout the country who at present do not have the opportunity to play 4 chukka polo outside of the Pony Club/Junior HPA and this is the aim of the initiative.
Matches will be organised as required at:
Offchurch Bury Polo Club on either Sunday 3rd or Monday 4th June and a venue in the South East, . The final between the top two sides will take place at the SUPA Festival in early July at Cirencester Park Polo Club, please note that this just before the Pony Club/Junior HPA Season and may clash with friendlies. A subsidiary Final between the losing teams will take place at a venue and date to be confirmed.
Teams can either be submitted by Academies (as long as a School takes overall control, this to meet SUPA requirements) or teams will be made up and balanced to ensure a strong and even Championship.
Matches will be played under HPA Guidelines, and any bone-fide student is eligible. All players to be registered and handicapped with the HPA before they play.
