The University Christmas Challenge
Held at West Wycombe and this time in dry weather 8 teams played in 2 sections on what was a fun yet Christmasy event. Mulled wine courtesy of Sarah Styler (who also time-kept and scored) accompanied mince pies, chocolate snowballs and wine, were on hand to add to the festive spirit. JJ Spark officiated the tournament with 4 teams in both Sections.
Michael Cox again took photographs and all proceeds go to his daughters University polo squad, so take a look at his website and the photos. www.michaeljcox.com
In the Beginners Section Oxford Brookes followed up their win at Rugby with yet another win here, defeating London in a 2 chukka final by 5 – 2.
The Novice Section saw London again in the final where the were up against a Combined Novice side from Keele, Reading and Oxford Brookes, but no matter how hard the combined team tried they could not break down the London team who took the tournament easily.
