Beautiful location and very accessible to London, the M4 and the M40, Lower Bolney Farm has benefited from great attention being paid to the detail when it comes to setting up a facility that works well for the horses stabled as well as everyone that works with them. Above all Lower Bolney Farm is particularly renowned for the quality of its grounds, and the new polo pitch (Pitch 5) is the talk of the polo community. Those that have been fortunate enough to play on it have declared it to be the “best field in the UK – if not the world!”. Maintaining it to that standard is incredibly important to us and we really commit to ensuring that it always deserves such acolades.
Regardless of whether we have the rain that came in 2016 and 2017 that meant that we were asked to take on the high goal games that could not be placed elsewhere due to waterlogged ground, or the drought that meant that so many polo clubs had to stop playing during the summer of 2018, we were able to keep providing grounds for top class polo. The onsite Ground Management team know exactly how to keep it at optimum playing level whether we are experiencing colossal rainfall or drought, and it is evident how much pride they take in their work when you look at the immaculate pitches.
