Last year, we unsure as to whether we would be able to play on grass due to it being so wet.
This year we have gone to the other extreme and the grounds at Oxford Polo are too hard. As we run this tournament on grass and in the arena we have had to find a venue with a watered pitch.
We have been extremely lucky and Beaufort Polo Club who have both an arena and watered pitch within striking distance of each other have come to our rescue.
We have not taken this decision lightly, but it is incredibly important that we look after the welfare of the horses and still give everyone the chance to play.
We will now play at Beaufort Polo Club, Downfarm House, Westonbirt, Tetbury GL8 8QW and envisage starting the day in the arena. We will do prize giving for the arena players before moving to the grass.
