We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Friendly Arena Tournament on Sunday and thank Black Bears for hosting us.  Timings and divisions have been emailed to the relevant parties.  Please contact your team manager if you have not received it.

Please find attached the draw. Chukkas will commence at 10.00 am. If you are running late or there are any problems on the day please call Caroline on 07889 141344 or Gill on 07887950414.

A few pointers for the day.

COVID

We recommend that lateral flow tests are taken prior to arrival. Please observe basic covid security and do not share water bottles.

Anyone experiencing Covid symptoms should test and inform their team manager and SUPA of a positive result.

Registration – On arrival at Black Bears Polo Club – the Team Manager or Representative must come and register with SUPA, we need a contact name and number for the day.

ParkingSTRICTLY NO PARKING ON THE GRASS – Cars to park at the back of the arena nose into the hedge. When that space runs out people will need to park either by the office or in back railway yard.

Hat tagging – all hats/helmets must be tagged with the SUPA tag before a player enters the arena. RJ Polo and I will be checking and tagging hats. Chukkas – Please ensure that your charges are ready and mounted and in the collecting area a minimum of 2 chukkas before their match commences. If your team is late entering the arena and holds up play you may have a goal awarded against you.

Rules – Please ensure that you have read through the rules governing horse hire, hats, goggles, spurs etc which can be found on the website at https://www.supa.org.uk/senior-schools/supa-rules-for-senior-schools/

SUPA Rules for Junior Schools

Scores – it is very important that at the end of each chukka your Team Captains agree the score with the Umpire/Scorer before leaving the arena. Once you have left the arena the score will not be changed.

Prize giving – due to the expected temperatures on Sunday we will not be holding a prize giving. However, there will be a token prize for everyone who has played, please come and see Caroline & Gill before you leave.

Catering – There will be a local catering van in attendance with lovely food and hot drinks, to warm you up!

Horses – As per SUPA/HPA rules all hired ponies must be supplied by an establishment holding a current REL (Riding Establishment Licence) it is the hirers responsibility to ensure that they have checked this.

Please remember that we are extremely lucky to be able to play at Black Bears. Horses must be cleaned up after by yourselves, there will be sufficient wheelbarrows and dustbins available for people to do so.
